Team Attorney – Real Estate Finance & Capital Markets

Kilpatrick’s Real Estate Finance & Capital Markets (“CM”) team is seeking a Team Attorney with at least 5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) to be based in our Atlanta, San Francisco, Washington D.C., New York, Dallas, Charlotte, Raleigh, or Winston Salem office, with the possibility of a remote work arrangement. The Team Attorney position is an alternative to a traditional partnership-track position and has a lower billable hour requirement (and minimal non-billable requirements). At Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP, we are one team, where each person plays an integral role in serving the needs of our clients. The firm has a strong dedication to its employees, values, diversity and inclusion initiatives and commitment to the community. Our CM team has a national practice representing lenders, servicers, and investors in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions and is a market leader in the CMBS industry.  This Team Attorney position provides an opportunity to build and lead a team that will work on the front line with one of the firm’s largest clients, serving a critical function in abstracting their legacy, new issuance and replacement special servicer securitization instruments using the client’s proprietary software. This is an excellent growth opportunity to work directly with a market leader in the industry and nationally recognized attorneys within the firm, with the possibility to expand the role into other capital markets transactions. We are looking for individuals with superior academic credentials and solid experience in the CMBS area. Ideal candidate would have familiarity with, and experience reviewing, pooling and servicing agreements, indentures, inter-credit or agreements and co-lender agreements for CMBS loans.  Any experience with loan servicing transactions is a bonus.
