Abbott's 1L Diversity Summer Internship Program gives rising 2L students the opportunity to gain substantive legal experience in both law firm and an in-house legal setting.

Verily’s 1L Diversity Summer Internship Program gives rising 2L students the opportunity to gain substantive legal experience in both law firm and an in-house legal setting.
 

You will spend up to seven weeks with KTS in either their San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or Walnut Creek office and an additional three weeks with Verily in house attorneys in our South San Francisco office (optionally remote). KTS will employ you for the full duration of the program (up to ten weeks). If necessary, KTS will cover up to 3 weeks of housing expenses for the Verily portion of the program.

At Verily, you will be working closely with IP counsel and our product teams. You will aid various attorneys (including the greater legal team) in providing guidance to our executives and innovators on a broad array of intellectual property issues that are implicated in the protection and development of groundbreaking products. A successful candidate should be passionate about intellectual property issues, ideally at the intersection of technology and healthcare.

At KTS, you will have the opportunity to do substantive work on a variety of projects throughout the program, acquiring new skills and gaining invaluable legal law firm experience. As part of their efforts to increase the diversity of the legal pipeline, AT&T and Kilpatrick Townsend are hosting the Kilpatrick Townsend/AT&T 1L Summer Fellows Program, a unique experience for 1L law students to spend 2-3 weeks of their 10-week Kilpatrick Townsend Summer Associate experience working with members of the AT&T Legal Department at AT&T’s offices. 

During this time, Summer Fellows will work with and be mentored by experienced AT&T lawyers, providing the Fellows an opportunity to practice in-house and learn how the lawyers advise and advocate for a multinational public company.
